Adding Curb Appeal to the Complex
In 2013 the Regency Park updated its facade and enclosed courtyard. David Berarducci Landscape Architecture described the extent of renovation on their website.
“This enclosed courtyard for the Regency Park Condominiums in Brookline, Massachusetts, is atop the parking garage, and provides its residents with multi-functional spaces. The center piece of the courtyard is an eight foot high curving pergola. Six wood benches within the pergola, view over a crescent shaped planter of colorful perennials, to the pool beyond. Planted with spring blooming Honeylocust and autumn blooming Clematis vines, it provides a fragrant, shady respite. “

“A lounging area in front of the pergola takes advantage of the mid-day sun. At the far end of the courtyard, directly off the indoor lounge, is an elliptical shaped paved area serving as an outdoor function space with the loose placement of tables and chairs. The space, ringed by River Birches features a center focal point planter for seasonal flower displays. Plant materials throughout the courtyard were selected for their multi-seasonal interest by way of colorful flowers, fragrance and fall color. Low voltage lighting within the pergola, along with recessed wall lights, provides a pleasing ambient glow to the courtyard at night.”
